Origin: Wetlands and Central and South America
Humidity: 50%+
Water: Likes water in big gulps. Water thoroughly, until water comes out the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot, then allow the top 1 to 2 inches to dry out between waterings. Avoid getting water on the stems, which causes root rot. Water less in winter.
Fertilize: Feed every two weeks in spring and summer with a balance liquid fertilizer diluted by half.
